STORE MANAGER
Omala was founded in 2005. Omala is a one-stop shop retail destination for stylish, versatile and functional activewear apparel, accessories and lifestyle products for men and women. Omala is dedicated to providing a holistic retail experience for yoga and pilates practitioners and other healthy and active individuals.
We sell high quality, fashionable and functional activewear apparel, accessories and lifestyle products for one's individual physical and spiritual pursuits in an environment that is welcoming, comfortable and meaningful to one's goals and values in life. Our apparel is set apart from traditional women's athletic manufacturers by its designs, its functional use and by the people, who make the clothing. We source our apparel, props and accessories from passionate, caring and knowledgeable men and women, who make their products from the heart and wear their products themselves.

The Store Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining Customer Services, overseeing and accountable for the operation of a store ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandise, inventory, expense control, human resources management, and managing operating costs and shrinkage.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of exceptional customer service
- Analyze and measure business trends
- Develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives
- Control shrink, expenses, and payroll
- Ensure appropriate merchandise stock levels, merchandise adjacencies and presentations; signing, and assortment in all departments
- Ensure selling floor is adequately stocked
- Review department/store trends and recommend and initiate changes for maximizing goals and objectives
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
through regular store management and staff meetings, store walk-through and audits, etc.
- Continually evaluate and react to performance issues and actively recruit management candidates
- Train and develop store management in all aspects of the business; direct and monitor training and development for all store personnel.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 2 years applicable experience with a specialty multi-location retailer
- Experience in merchandising and visual presentation
- Proven ability to market within the community
- Ability to recruit, interview, train, develop and promote sales associates
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to move medium to large items weighing up to 50 pounds
- College degree
- Practices or has practiced yoga and/or pilates
- Outgoing
- Results-oriented

ASSISTANT MANAGER

Our Assistant Manager will help drive Omala's future expansion. With new store openings, we would look for this individual to take over the role of Store Manager. We are looking for someone with retail experience, a proven ability to lead successful selling environments who has merchandising creativity and wants to grow their career with a new and exciting start-up. We are a unique specialty retail company promoting active, healthy living that feels good and looks good. We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial-spirit and dedication to building something special and new, who possesses loads of energy and an upbeat, positive attitude; the ability to conversationally sell; and a strong analytical and organized mind. This person will be able to lead others, inspire results, meet operational guidelines and be involved with the community.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead team with integrity and motivation to achieve assigned sales volume goals.
- Assist in developing sales plans
- Incorporate motivational methods of attainment
- Train and provide ongoing coaching to a staff of 3-5 in all areas of our business including selling techniques, operations, merchandise standards, product information and customer scenarios
- Assist Store Manger in company implementations
- Obtain and communicate customer needs and feedback to Store Manager and other sales employees
- Assist in hiring, scheduling, personnel performance writing and identifying future talent
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- College Degree
- Previous retail management experience preferred
- 2-4 years prior retail experience
- Practices or has practiced yoga and/or pilates
- Outgoing
- Results-oriented
- Entrepreneurially-minded

- Must be able to work store hours

SALES ASSOCIATE
REPORTS TO: Retail Store Manager
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet all store customers in friendly and inviting manner
- Maintain high level of customer service throughout store
- Inform customers of new merchandise in store
- Engage customers on whether they practice yoga or pilates; if so, what type; direct them to merchandise most relevant and beneficial to their practice
- Be a consultant to customers – facilitate their learning of yoga, pilates and about the store
- Maintain knowledge of store apparel and accessory products – facilitate customer interactions with knowledge
- Know product features, attributes, benefits and best uses
- Facilitate team selling
- Help achieve daily sales volume goals
- Keep store presentation of merchandise clean, inviting and accessible
- Assist in all store operations including product shipments, replenish sales floor, markdowns, cleaning and organization
- Actively communicate all voiced customer wants/needs about products and store to Store Manager
