Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Marketing Lead to spearhead Omala's marketing initiatives. This role is central to shaping and elevating Omala's brand presence in the wellness space. The Marketing Lead will be responsible for developing an overarching brand strategy, maintaining an editorial calendar to ensure a cohesive and impactful marketing narrative, contributing to product development and developing integrated marketing strategies. This role is a blend of creative content creation, strategic planning, and overseeing collaborative efforts across various departments.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Brand and Social Media Strategy Development:
    • Craft and implement an all-encompassing brand strategy, in sync with Omala's vision.
    • Develop a social media strategy that aligns with and amplifies this brand identity.
  • Content Creation and Campaign Management:
    • Generate engaging content for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and through email campaigns.
    • Lead marketing campaigns, ensuring they resonate with our audience and reflect our brand ethos.
  • Cross-departmental Competencies:
    • Work closely with the PR team to ensure cohesive brand messaging and media strategies.
    • Assist in product development, identifying market segments and opportunities for new lines.
    • Collaborate with contractors, including copywriters, digital marketing agencies, photographers, operations teams and others to ensure cohesive execution of projects.
  • Editorial Calendar and Daily Management:
    • Manage a detailed editorial calendar, coordinating with teams for effective campaign rollouts.
    • Ensure consistent daily engagement across social media platforms.
  • Digital Marketing and Analytics:
    • Handle email marketing campaigns and track their performance.
    • Familiarity with SEO, paid ads, and the use of tools like Klaviyo, Shopify, Canva, Adobe Suite, etc.
    • Analyze marketing metrics to refine strategies and improve engagement and reach.
  • Community Engagement and Online Presence Management:
    • Foster a strong online community, emphasizing interactive communication.
    • Monitor trends within the wellness industry to keep our content relevant and engaging.

    Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience in marketing strategy, social media management, and product development, preferably in the wellness, health, or lifestyle sectors.
  • Strong creative and strategic skills, adept at developing comprehensive brand and marketing strategies.
  • Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms, including Klaviyo, Shopify, Canva, Adobe Suite, etc.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a knack for building a unified brand voice.
  • Familiarity with SEO, paid advertising strategies, and effective email marketing campaigns.

    Position Information:

    This position is offered as a contract role, with compensation provided monthly through invoices. The role, which reports to the Director of Omala, is estimated to require a commitment of 20-30 hours weekly.


    Remote, with a requirement for availability during North American business hours (PT or ET), Monday to Friday.
